Pitter Patter... Pitter Patter...

The rains have come early this year

Every drop reminding

The pitter patter so agonizing

Taking me away to a time so long ago

It was the season it rained down on his life. Bringing new life to the old soul, blossoming it into something different, something awkward, something weird and indescribable. It made him happy. The rains brought with it silent nights with her lying in his arms. In a warm embrace they would talk, time flying by unnoticed. Who they were, their hopes, their dreams, their fears, their secrets, all of them mere whispers under the pitter patter of the rain.

But just as sudden as the rains have come, it disappeared, taking her along with it. Never to hear from her again, never to see her again, he shattered. Picking up the pieces, one by one he put them inside a crumpled piece of paper and he hid it, all the memories he had of her. He decided to hide it in plain sight, for no one looks for what they already see, but he forgot one important thing. That one day he might forget and fail to realize what would be been taken from him. He didn’t mind. But as he hid it, he stood there hoping no one would pick it up and discover all the treasures he had worked so hard to keep secret. He stood their, praying, and for the first time in a long time, he believed it.

May no one live to discover where he hides his precious pitter patter that he just couldn’t wait to have taken away. He hid them all under the pitter patter, wishing. Wishing that it would just go away.

Nothing but the pitter patter

Everything but the pitter patter

A bitter sweet reminder

Stay with me forever

Please take it away

Leaving behind nothing but a scar, that would one day lost its meaning. It started raining.

I lay here staring at the concrete moon, wondering why I wanted you. I couldn’t see back then, why I was so entranced by you and everything you did.

You loved him so much. Whole-heartedly you gave yourself to him, no doubts, no worries. Just love. Pure and limitless.

He was such a small man undeserving of all the love you have given him. Taking advantage of you and your blindness towards him.

He was such a little man, living in the lime light that you have shed upon him, unappreciative, uncaring. All he ever cared about was himself, which gave the two of you something in common. You cared for him too.

You looked into him and felt happiness surge into you. Not a care in the world, as long as he was beside you. Unwilling to let go, you never want to lose sight of him, of fear you might never see him again.

Nothing was more important to you. The countless fights you had with your family because of him. The endless nights shedding tears because of him.

I could have been a better man for you, but you didn’t see me. You never did, you never will.

You loved him so purely and without doubt. Limitless, untiring love. Anything made that love grow stronger. Everything made the heart grow fonder.

You loved him simply because. It was infatuation, limitless and unbound. Infatuation so strong it turned into love. You loved him simply because.

Now I see, I loved you, because you loved him. I wanted that love for me.

I wanted to feel happy and maybe you were the key. Someone to love me, limitlessly.

Is The Jar Full?

Is the Jar Full?

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee. A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things - God, family, children, health, friends, and favorite passions -- things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car. The sand is everything else -- the small stuff."If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

So...Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play With your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

"Take care of the golf balls first-- the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just

goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

Special Thanks to Joe for helping me out and advising me to start writing. :)

This is my first time to try and write a story guys, so chill and don't flame me... XD

The sun was setting into the horizon and the sky burned a bright orange, yellow and red. You could hear the gentle sound of the waves hitting the shore. It was a peaceful time of day and weird enough, there was no one on the beach to witness this beautiful sunset, no one.

Even though you could hardly see it, at the farthest end of the beach, a man was lying on his back, unmoving, staring into the sky. He laid there so calm, so still, to the unsuspecting eye he almost looked like a piece of drift wood that got washed onto shore. Drift wood had more purpose than him in this very moment, and even though he was still breathing, he was as good as dead, it didn’t matter anymore.

With only a raggedy pair of denim jeans on, he laid there thinking. He had soft, gentle features that blended into the crowd and his beard was already growing out, obviously not being able to shave for the past few weeks.

Unnoticed, unknown, he stood among the crowd, but he was anything but part of the crowd, he was anything but ordinary. He himself didn’t know of the great things that were destined for him to do, to achieve. Now, that destiny hangs in the balance and the only person who could do anything about it was him. But these were all secrets that are being kept from him. So, he laid there, unmoving.

As he started into the sky, a sense of relief overcame him, it was something he hadn’t felt for a long time, and it felt good. He couldn’t help but wonder who was going to look for him when he goes missing. Who was going to miss him the most? Who was going to mourn with his family when he dies and not just pass by his funeral? Who was going to comfort his mother? Suddenly, he stopped thinking. He could feel the waves playing on the soles of his feet, warmly caressing his skin, the tide was coming in.

He closed his eyes, took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. Where would the tides take him he thought.. and with that he drifted away into his subconscious. So he laid there, unmoving.

Sweet Dreams,
God's gift to me,
Sleep tight, do not fright,
I will hold on tight.

Times are different,
No more fears,
No more tears,
I am here.

Forget the past,
And the shadows they cast,
New beginnings are approaching,
I will be waiting.

What the future brings,
Unknown, Unseen,
What is sure,
I will be forever true.
I love you.

Who Are You Again?

Hello stranger,
How long has it been,
I have grown stronger,
Since you have last seen.

So long ago,
I last saw your face,
Where did you go,
Left without a trace.

Bards have sang songs of your tales,
Legendary adventures nothing can compare,
Where have you gone all this time,
I've been waiting in despair.

Traveling around the world,
It's been so long since we last met,
Your face escapes me,
If only I remembered your name again.

Echoing in the pits of my soul,
Your voice was long dead,
I can't recall,
What was the last thing you said.

Why, Hello stranger,
It's good to see you again,
Stay with me and
Epic stories will begin.
